Sherpa Education Fund
Other Ways to Help Make a Difference
Interested in getting involved with the Sherpa Education Fund but don't know where to start? Here are some ideas for ways to help in addition to the ever-necessary financial support

Host a slide talk or other event at your house
If you have been to Nepal you may have a wonderful slide show to give your friends. Or you could ask another traveler to give the show. You may be an inspired cook and could tie-in a short fundraising presentation with dinner for a group of your friends. If you are in WA, ask us to give the show or to attend yours. Whatever your location, we will provide hand outs and are always delighted to discuss your ideas.

Become a program advisor
As the Sherpa Education Fund develops, we are looking for people with knowledge in specific areas to give input on plans for future programs. Communication will be by email. We are particularly interested in people with experience in education and developmental programs overseas.

Send your writings for the newsletter or website
Have you thoughts and ideas relating to the Sherpa people, Nepal or the work of the Sherpa Education Fund that you would like to see in our newsletter or website? If you have, please send them to us by letter or email for consideration.

Send your photos or video / volunteer photo or video skills
Do you have photos or video from Nepal, especially from the Solu-Khumbu region? This could be very useful as we develop our literature and new digital presentations. If you have photo or video skills and would like to donate some of your time, we have some great projects you can help with!

Sign-up to help at events
The Sherpa Education Fund has run various fundraising events and plans to do more in the future. If you would like to help out please let us know. If you are outside of WA, please contact us as we are interested in the possibility of running events outside of this area.

Volunteer to Mentor at Dorji School, Kathmandu
If you are interested in our new program, teaching visual story-telling to children at Dorji School as they partner with a Seattle school, do consider treating yourself to the adventure of staying in Kathmandu for several weeks and working part-time as a mentor at the school. Read full details on the Mentor Page!

Only got 10 minutes? Write an email to the Students
The Foundation Scholarship students love to hear from people overseas, it helps them learn about other cultures and hones their English-language and computer skills. Write an email letter to Students@SherpaFund.org and you will receive a delightful reply.

Any donation is greatly appreciated, thank you for your support!
